Markets struck by Friday phobia

The markets surrendered all the gains of the previous session in another horrendous Friday. The Sensex ended at 18001, lower by 447 points and the Nifty shut shop at 5388, down 137 points. The midcap index ended at 6724, lower by 103 points and the smallcap index ended at 8318, down 145 points.
